Home // Solutions // Implementation Implementation should not be a painful procedure Conventional wisdom holds that installation and conversion to new Supply Chain and Financials systems takes a year or even two, much of it filled with disruption and confusion. And that’s true – for conventional systems. MediClick solutions, on the other hand, average just 16 weeks of installation time for a single hospital, somewhat more for multisite IDNs. During the process, we help you build and test the interfaces you need in order to share information with other hospital information systems, such as importing patient charges from your point-of-use system or exporting data from MediClick to your GPO for spend analysis. And we convert your data – history, files, tables – early in the process so that you can use it, rather than a “dummy” database, during user training. Something else that’s not at all conventional about the way we do your implementation: we do it ourselves. No third-party consultants, no subcontractors. We provide you with a single MediClick project manager to oversee the technical teams, train your users and be onsite during go-live. Even better, every project manager is a former hospital materials or financial strategist who is an expert in both hospital environments and implementation best practices. Finally, we’re unconventionally committed to follow-up. We know you can fully absorb only so much during the initial go-live training. So we come back in 90 days, and then again in another 90. Each time we review how everything is working, provide operational advice and conduct training in the system’s more advanced functions. What it all comes down to is this: we can’t make an implementation totally painless. But we can, and will, keep disruption to a minimum, get you up and running quickly, and help you get the most of out your MediClick system.
