UNC Hospitals Implements MediClick for Contracts & Analysis
to Manage Supply Contracts and Purchased Services Agreements

Raleigh, NC – May 12, 2009 – MediClick, a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supply chain solutions in the healthcare industry, today announced UNC Hospitals, a 724- bed academic medical center located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, will implement MediClick for Contracts & Analysis (C&A). UNC Hospitals will use C&A to manage supply contracts and purchased services agreements.

"C&A is both an analytical and operational tool," said Chuck Mauro, director of materials management at UNC Hospitals. "It fully integrates into our materials management system, so we can identify savings opportunities quickly and audit them to make sure we get the results we expect. We chose MediClick’s solution to improve our contracts process and to deliver bottom-line results."

With C&A, UNC Hospitals will automate contract updates from its group purchasing organization, ensuring price accuracy and reducing the need for manual intervention by its materials management staff. The hospital will also leverage C&A’s bid analysis functionality to gather information and determine the best price being offered by suppliers.

"We will immediately benefit from the improved efficiency and the ability to track and report more accurately on how effectively we use our contracts,” said Mauro. "MediClick will allow us to make more informed business decisions that cut costs for UNC Hospitals.”
